Both Marines and Navy corpsmen assigned to 3rd Marines, the highest-deployed Marine infantry regiment in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom, honored their heritage by running a two-mile course from the 3rd Marines headquarters to the Pacific War Memorial and back. In total, 29 teams of four runners and an additional lone runner completed 237 miles.
