SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, Dec. 07, 2022 - FEMA's Alternate Disaster Recovery Coordinator, Andres García Martinó (R) shakes the hand of the professor at the School of Planning of the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Maritza Barreto Orta (L) after finishing his speech during the presentation of a study of the conditions of Puerto Rico's beaches after Hurricane Maria. The study was conducted by the University of Puerto Rico through its Puerto Rico Coastal Research and Planning Institute which examined beach areas with the degree of erosion and accretion in the 44 coastal municipalities between September 2017 and July 2018.
