Michael Witmon, an explosive ordnance disposal technician from 7th Engineer Support Battalion assigned to Marine Corps Engineer Detachment - Palau, takes measurements of a projectile found during unexploded ordnance (UXO) clearance in preparation for future airfield construction at Peleliu, Republic of Palau, April 5, 2023. UXO clearance takes place prior to any construction projects to ensure the safety of the site.
