A U.S. Marine with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) conducts fast rope training aboard the Wasp-class Amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise, Atlantic Ocean, April 18, 2023. Fast rope operations enable insertion into rough terrains, urban areas, or water when aircraft are unable to land. ARGMEUEX is the second at-sea exercise in the MEU’s Pre-deployment Training Program.
