Sailors assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harper's Ferry (LSD 49) receive gifts and photos from Japanese citizens they assisted during Operation Tomodachi. Harper's Ferry was one of several U.S. ships that brought humanitarian aid and provided disaster relief following the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan in March 2011.
