FORT MAGSAYSAY, Philippines -- Soldiers from the 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25TH Infantry Division, and 1st Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division (PA) officially kicked off #Salaknib23 on 13 March 2023 with an Opening Ceremony at Fort Magsaysay to signify the start of the exercise and continuation of our relationship with the Philippine Army.
The ceremony included remarks from Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, and U.S. Army Lt. Gen. Xavier T. Brunson, Commanding General of I Corp.
The U.S. and Philippine armies started hosting the training exercise in 2016. This year, SN23 provides the opportunity to enhance military readiness, strengthen relationships, and increase interoperability between the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division (25ID) and our PA allies.
