U.S. Army paratroopers with the 173rd Airborne Brigade hike more than 14 miles through Italy’s Dolomites as part of the Company Commander & First Sergeant Course on April 4, 2023. Current and future command teams in the brigade attend the course to learn and develop new ways to effectively perform their duties, while also building physical and mental resilience and team cohesion. The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the United States European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
