ATLANTIC OCEAN (March 28, 2023) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Juan Gomez, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), operates the “Scrubber” during Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) testing in the ship’s hangar bay, March 28, 2023. The “Scrubber” is used to deep clean and maintain non-skid throughout the ship. Wasp is currently underway conducting Type Commander (TYCOM) sea trials.
