230317-N-NT811-1003 PACIFIC OCEAN - (March 17, 2023) – Seaman Apprentice Christopher Mendoza, from Bronx, N.Y., stands watch as a bridge wing lookout aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) as the ship gets underway from U.S. Naval Station San Diego for surface warfare advanced tactical training (SWATT). SWATT is the Navy’s premier advanced tactical training for the surface fleet to ensuring units are competent, proficient and ready to deploy forward.
