U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Nancy Garcia, a radio operator with 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF, tests a Harris AN/PRC-117G Multiband Networking Manpack Radio attached to a MUOS Dismount Antenna to improve the range of the radio during exercise Freedom Shield 23, at Marine Corps Base Camp Mujuk, Republic of Korea, March 18, 2023. The Marines established an exterior command and control station which protects the exact location of a transmission in an expeditionary environment. Freedom Shield is a defense-oriented exercise designed to strengthen the ROK-U.S. Alliance, enhance our combined defense posture, and strengthen security and stability on the Korean peninsula.
