    III Marine Expeditionary Force   

    U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Joshua Trotter, a radio operator with 7th Communication Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, III MEF, sets up a Harris AN/TRC-209 High Frequency Radio Antenna during exercise Freedom Shield 23, at Marine Corps Base Camp Mujuk, Republic of Korea, March 18, 2023. The Marines established an exterior command and control station which protects the exact location of a transmission in an expeditionary environment. Freedom Shield is a defense-oriented exercise designed to strengthen the ROK-U.S. Alliance, enhance our combined defense posture, and strengthen security and stability on the Korean peninsula.
