U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. A raid is a mission requiring a small force to swiftly penetrate hostile territory to secure information, confuse the enemy, or to destroy their installations, and ends with a planned withdrawal upon completion of the mission. EOTG organized MEUEX III as part of the 26th MEU’s third phase of the pre-deployment training to ensure their Marines and Sailors, in partnership with their Navy teammates, are ready to serve as a formidable deterrent capable of performing missions across a full range of military operations from the sea.
