U.S. Ambassador to Qatar Timmy Davis participated in a reenlistment and promotion ceremony March 14, 2023, at the Doha embassy for soldiers serving with Task Force Liberty. Brig. Gen. Jeffrey Heasley, 28th Infantry Division assistant division commander – support; Sgt. Maj. Robert Poloka, Task Force Liberty senior enlisted leader; and Capt. Jeremy Lahn, 550th Medical Company Area Support commander, presided over the ceremony with Davis. Three 550th MCAS soldiers were promoted to the rank of specialist. They are: Spc. Donovan Butler, Spc. Lan Barefoot and Spc. Krystiian Robinson. Four MCAS soldiers reenlisted. They are: Sgt. Marjory Chacon, Spc. Krista Hass, Spc. Andrew Sawyer and Spc. Hayden Stores. The 550th is an active-duty unit based at Fort Bragg, N.C. Task Force Liberty is part of Task Force Spartan, a unique multi-component organization that maintains U.S. military posture in Southwest Asia to strengthen defense relationships and build partner capacity. Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 28th Infantry Division, Pa. Army National Guard is currently serving as the Task Force Spartan headquarters element.
