U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Andrew Brown, Camp Lemonnier's Friends of Africa Volunteers group liaison to the U.S. Embassy in Djibouti, delivers a box of donated school supplies to the Deaf and Speechless School of Ali Sabieh, Djibouti, Oct. 20, 2012. Service members from the FAV partnered with Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa's Ali Sabieh Joint Civil Affairs Team and the district's Volunteer Association of Education to deliver the school supplies. The partnership, a first between the three organizations, helps to build and strengthen the U.S. military's relationship with its Djiboutian partners. The group plans to continue its work together by bringing additional supplies to the school and constructing a wall between the school playground and the street to improve students' safety.
