U.S. Marine Corps III Marine Expeditionary Force and Japan Ground Self Defense Force, Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade senior leadership along with representatives from multiple partners and ally nations observe A U.S. navy landing craft, air cushion as it lands on Kin Blue Beach, Okinawa, Japan as part of Iron Fist 23 March 10, 2023. The LCACs were conducting the landing operation in order to establish a combat support service area. Iron Fist is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
