Retired Senior Chief Musician Dr. Laura Grantier, associate professor of clarinet at the University of Utah and former principal clarinetist with the U.S. Navy Concert Band, thanks audience members for their attendance at the Navy Band’s performance at the University of Utah School of Music. The U.S. Navy Band visited the university on their 2023 national tour covering six states, 16 cities and 3200 miles. Performing at institutions of higher learning allows Navy Band members to inspire the next generation of students with their world-renowned musicianship and professionalism while representing Sailors serving around the globe 365 days a year on their behalf.
