On March 8, 2023, members of Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune's Trauma Department visited Coastal Carolina Community College to teach “Stop the Bleed” training.
Approximately 20 staff, including faculty and security personnel, learned necessary skills to help stop bleeding during emergency situations.
NMCCL plans to teach more classes to CCCC faculty and staff over the next few weeks.
"Stop The Bleed” is a national campaign aimed to teach people how to save lives with bleeding control techniques in the
event of an emergency prior to first responders arriving on scene.
Over the past several years, our Trauma Department staff have taught hundreds of “Stop the Bleed” classes across Eastern North Carolina,
everywhere from churches to local government agencies.
