The Illinois National Guard celebrated International Women's Day March 8, 2023 at Camp Lincoln in Springfield by welcoming author and educator Cyndee Schaffer to discuss her mother's experiences while serving in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC), stationed in Europe during WWII.
