U.S. Marine Corps leaders of I Marine Expeditionary Force and senior leaders of the Philippine Marine Corps, prepare to embark an MV-22 Osprey departing from Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton to MCAS Miramar, California, March 3, 2023, after Philippine Marine Corps leadership visited with I MEF leadership. The overall purpose of the visit is to strengthen senior leader relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps and the Philippine Marine Corps, enhance interoperability, and provide Maj. Gen. Charlton S. Gaerlan, commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps, a better understanding of the Marine Corps’ current and future combat capabilities.
