U.S. Marines of I Marine Expeditionary Force and senior leadership of the Philippine Marine Corps attend a preflight brief before departing Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton, California, March 3, 2023, after Philippine Marine Corps leadership visited with I MEF leadership. The overall purpose of the visit is to strengthen senior leader relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps and the Philippine Marine Corps, enhances interoperability, and provide Maj. Gen. Charlton S. Gaerlan, commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps, a better understanding of the Marine Corps’ current and future combat capabilities.
