U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Steven Carbonell, assigned to Alpha Battery, 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment (PFAR), Task Force 4-25, is awarded the Bronze Star by U.S. Army Lt. Col. Frank Stanco, 377th PFAR battalion Commander, on Forward Operating Base Salerno, Khost province, Afghanistan, Sept. 23, 2012. Carbonell was awarded the Bronze Star for exceptionally meritorious service while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
