U.S. service members with Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), present a POW/MIA flag to the village chief as a token of appreciation during the recovery mission in Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Feb. 16, 2023. The recovery team held an end of mission celebration with the local community to show their appreciation for the hard work done during the mission to attempt to recover remains of missing American service members and build relations with the Lao people.
