Lt. Gen. David Halverson, deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, presents a certificate of appreciation to Renice Zimmerman, a Gold Star family member and Army veteran, Oct. 19, at TRADOC Headquarters. Halverson thanked Zimmerman for her mentorship of wounded warriors assigned to the Warrior Transition Unit located on Fort Eustis. A total of eight civilian mentors received recognition for their volunteer efforts with soldiers of the WTU.
