U.S. Army Spc. Brandon Morton-Leach, a 165th Quartermaster Company parachute rigger, jumps down from a low-cost low-velocity parachute secured to a HC-130J Combat King II at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, Feb. 18, 2023. LCLVs are single-use parachutes that are ideal for airdrops to remote locations where recovering the parachute might not be possible or practical. Utilizing airdrops allows the U.S. Department of Defense to transport anything that can safely fit on the aircraft to remote locations anytime and anywhere.
