Nicholas Michols, a sports medicine physician assigned to the United States Marine Forces Special Operations Command, assists a student with a suturing kit during Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity’s Leadership Institute held in Philadelphia, Feb. 11, 2023. During the institute, Navy doctors, assigned to various commands across the nation, held a suturing workshop for more than 100 pre-medical students, provided information on multiple opportunities in the Navy’s medical field, discussed a variety of scholarships offered, as well as spoke about leadership opportunities in the Navy Medical Corps.
