U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Nicholas Woods, 117th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief, writes the fuel levels while inside the KC-135R Stratotanker Feb. 12, 2023, at Sumpter Smith Joint National Guard Base, Alabama. The crew chiefs pumped about 3,000 gallons of Jet A fuel into the aircraft while also ensuring that the aircraft had a balanced amount of fuel throughout its system.
