Alaska Air National Guard Staff Sgt. Kaden Wernofski, a 210th Rescue Squadron special missions aviator, operates the hoist to lift a 212th RQS pararescueman into an HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter during a training mission over the Lower Susitna Valley near Anchorage, Alaska, Feb. 7, 2023. The HH-60G and rescue personnel along with a 211th RQS HC-130J Combat King II aircraft sit alert for the federal search and rescue mission across Alaska’s vast Arctic region.
