Pilots from the 559th Flying Training Squadron guided members from the Military Affairs Council on how to fly immersive training devices February 8, 2023 at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. Community leaders from Guadalupe County, Schertz, Seguin and Universal City attended the luncheon. The event started with a mission brief, giving community leaders insight into the 12th FTW's role in training the next generation of Air Force instructor pilots. This was followed by an immersive training device demonstration, providing a hands-on experience of the technology used to train PIT students. To further showcase the 559th Flying Training Squadron's capabilities, a T-6 Texan II aircraft was displayed, allowing community leaders to see the aircraft up close and learn about its capabilities and technology.
