Capt. Abdoul Aziz Moumouni, a Partner Nation Instructor (PNI) with Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS), gives instructions during a Patrol Craft Officer-Riverine (PCOR) course on how to properly disassemble and reassemble a M240B machine gun on John C. Stennis Space Center, in Mississippi, February 6, 2023. Moumouni is also serving as a French translator during the school's U.S. Africa Command (U.S. AFRICOM) semester 23-2.
NAVSCIATTS PNI program consists of junior officers or senior enlisted that are nominated by their own countries to serve 18-24 months at NAVSCIATTS as a guest instructor. PNIs benefit from this opportunity through gaining instructor training qualifications, leadership skills development and working with a highly professional team that trains Foreign Security Force students from around the world.
The schoolhouse trains and educates international security force professionals across the tactical, operational, and strategic spectrums based on geographic combatant command security cooperation priorities. To date, NAVSCIATTS has worked with more than 13,000 partner forces from 125 different countries. (Photos by Michael Williams)
