Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis, Wyoming, has a multitude of hot springs pools, heated by geothermal heat, or heat from the earth’s interior. Hot spring pools house thermophiles, heat-loving organisms, known as archaeas and bacterias. Less than a five-hour drive from F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, Thermopolis is an easy option for Airmen to explore. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Sarah Post)
