Master labor contractor Julia Takaoka, a directory clerk, for Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni’s post office assists a customer, at Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan, Dec. 30, 2022. MCAS Iwakuni’s post offices are one of the busiest in the Marine Corps because they are the only post office that provides PO boxes for the entire installation instead of using a traditional Unit mailroom process. This increases the amount of time required to sort mail that is received daily but means the addressee is the only person besides the postal clerks touching the box providing more security for the receiver.
