U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Calvert L. Worth Jr., commanding general of 2d Marine Division, gives a speech to Cpl. Kayla Hanner, a Lapeer, Michigan, native and administrative specialist with Headquarters Battalion, 2d Marine Division, during a promotion ceremony on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 10, 2023.
“What we ask of our NCOs is never a small request. When I joined the Marine Corps the first Marines I met were NCOs and SNCOs who represented a Marine Corps beyond the posters and advertisements. They embodied what we stand for and still do,” Gen. Worth said.
Hanner was identified as a “Follow Me” Marine in efforts to share the stories of 2d MARDIV Marines who are leading the way.
