Army CID Special Agent M. Casper presents Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel with an Army CID Central Texas Field Office coin after being sworn in as an honorary police officer in a ceremony at the Killeen Police Department, Texas, Dec. 8, 2022.
DJ, terminally ill with brain and spine cancer, it is visiting law enforcement agencies across the United States and being sworn in as an Honorary Police Officer and Special Agent. DJ was sworn in as an honorary police officer with the Killeen PD, Harker Heights PD, Belton PD, and Copperas Cove PD.
DJ will return after the new year to visit the Central Texas Field Office at Fort Hood and meet the rest of the team.
DJ's mission is to increase awareness of childhood cancer and honor the memory of a fellow cancer patient and supporter of the law enforcement profession, seven-year-old Abigail Arias, who succumbed to the disease three years ago.
