U.S. Marines with Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, board an MV-22 Osprey at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, North Carolina, Dec. 16, 2022. Parachute training conducted by MSPF improves the mission effectiveness of Marines by increasing their operational reach and giving them another method of insertion into deployed environments. MEUEX I is the first large-scale exercise in the intermediate stage of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Pre-Deployment Training Program (PTP) involving the entire composited MAGTF.
