U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Winter Braman, 47th Security Forces Squadron 1st sergeant, prepares to run away from a Military Working Dog during Operation Handshake on Dec. 9, 2022, at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. Operation Handshake is a training mission between the 47th SFS and 47th Medical Group, where the different groups showed off aspects of their jobs that would be useful while deployed. Military Working Dogs are an essential part of the security forces mission, providing the ability to sniff out explosives, drugs, and hidden personnel. K-9s also provide support and increased security for personnel. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Nicholas Larsen)
