U.S. Air Force Lt. Col Elena Arushanyan, 47th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron commander, fires simulation rounds from behind a barricade during Operation Handshake on Dec. 9, 2022, at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. Operation Handshake is a training mission between the 47th Security Forces and the 47th Medical Group where the different groups showed off aspects of their jobs that would be useful downrange. 47th SFS members showed medical group personnel how to fire from behind cover while showing minimal parts of their body.
