U.S. Air Force Capt. Frances Kriss (Left), 47th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron clinical nurse, shows Airmen how to wrap a sprained ankle during Operation Handshake on Dec. 9, 2022, at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas. Operation Handshake is a training mission between the 47th SFS and
47th Medical Group, where the different groups showed off aspects of their jobs that would be useful while deployed. Proper medical care while deployed gives troops the ability to get back into the fight faster, especially when care is provided immediately after an injury. Wrapping an ankle after an injury has occurred will provide support and allow for a more rapid recovery post-injury. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Nicholas Larsen)
