    GULFPORT, Miss.— Naval Oceanography working with government, academia, and industry partners participated and co-hosted Oceans in Action 2022 and advanced technology exercise (ANTX), March 7-10, 2022
    Oceans in Action 2022, the premier Gulf Coast regional marine technology event focused on emerging technologies was held on March 7-10 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Attendees of the 2022 Oceans in Action & Port Security Summit were able to attend valuable presentations on emerging blue technologies, government programs, and advances in port security.
    The Advanced Naval Technology Exercise, or “ANTX,” provides a venue for the exchange of information that is key to this innovation. ANTX is designed to provide technologists with an understanding of the operational challenges faced by the naval warfighter and, complementing that, the naval warfighter with an understanding of developing technologies that might meet their needs.
    Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
