WOLLONGONG, Australia (Nov. 8, 2022) - Rear Adm. Ron Piret, Commander, Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, met with his counterpart Commodore Stewart Dunne, Hydrographer of Australia and Director General Maritime Geospatial and Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organization to discuss ways the two navies could build upon decades of cooperation Nov 8, 2022. The two naval organizations focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration which form the basis of mutual strategic bilateral efforts.
The U.S. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
