CHICAGO (Nov. 30, 2022) Commander, Naval Service Training Command, Rear Adm. Jennifer Couture (second from the right) meets with Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) Senior Admission Counselor, Yujie Huang (left), and Chicago Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Consortium staff members, during a site visit, Nov. 30. The Chicago NROTC Consortium consists of midshipmen at Northwestern University, Loyola University, IIT, University of Illinois at Chicago and Kennedy King College. Couture visited the Northwestern campus in Evanston, Illinois, and the IIT campus in South Chicago and met with midshipmen, unit leadership and school officials. The NROTC program is supported by Couture and her headquarters staff at Naval Station Great Lakes, Illinois, and is at more than 160 colleges and universities.
