MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Dec. 1, 2022) Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class David Phelps, assigned to the Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 79, assists in the shutdown of a MH-60R Seahawk helicopter on the flight deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) after the completion of flight quarters, Dec. 1, 2022. Roosevelt, currently attached to the Charles de Gaulle Carrier Strike Group, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
