Lt. Col. David Roman, commander, 1st Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment (Attack Battalion), speaks with Lt. Col. Kyle Anderson, commander, 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery, regarding the capabilities of the AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopter outside hangar two on Katterbach Army Airfield, Germany, Oct. 13, 2022. The aviators provided capabilities briefs on multiple rotary wing assets, and the air defenders provided a capability brief on the maneuver short-range air defense system for the Soldiers. The 12th Combat Aviation Brigade is among other units assigned to V Corps, America's Forward Deployed Corps in Europe. They work alongside NATO Allies and regional security partners to provide combat-ready forces, execute joint and multinational training exercises, and retain command and control for all rotational and assigned units in the European Theater.
