KUSHIRO PORT, Japan (Sept. 30, 2022) Sailors attached to the Naval Supporting Element aboard USNS Dahl (T-AKR 312) sail conjoined Improved Navy Lighterage System crafts, front, with USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2) and a Japan tug boat in the distance in support of Operation Resolute Dragon 22, Sept. 30, 2022. Resolute Dragon 22 is an annual bilateral exercise between the Japan Self-Defense Force and the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy. The exercise is taking place across eight geographically-separated training areas throughout Japan with a focus on distributed operations, coastal defense, and integrated live-fire training.
