Lt. Gen. John Lamontagne, left, United States Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa deputy commander, expresses his appreciation to the Airmen of the 39th Security Forces Squadron after an SFS training exercise on Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, Oct. 3, 2022. During his first visit to the 39th ABW as deputy commander, Lamontagne met with several Airmen and received briefings about the wing’s mission and readiness capabilities while speaking with members about how their role supports the mission of USAFE-AFAFRICA. The wing takes deliberate actions to develop Airmen; confronts global challenges in support of the National Defense Strategy to defend our country and our allies; and utilizes dedicated efforts to deliver peace to our nation and its allies by fostering stability and deterring aggression throughout Europe and Africa.
