Scott Bresnahan, commanding officer of the Virginia-class fast attack submarine USS Indiana (SSN 789), gives ship stickers and patches to cancer survivor Oban Birmingham, 8, during a pierside tour at Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton, Conn., Oct. 5. The crew of Indiana welcomed Birmingham for a tour as part of the Kaps4Kids program, a U.S. Submarine Veterans Inc. charitable foundation designed to bring comfort and joy to children with challenging medical conditions.
