Multiple C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, assigned to the 37th Airlift Squadron at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, park on the flightline prior to a night sortie during Aviation Detachment Rotation 22-4 training at the 33rd Air Base, Powdiz, Poland, Sept. 19, 2022. During ADR 22-4, pilots trained on the recently upgraded Block 8.1.1 C-130J’s. The upgrade includes newer aviation navigation and inter-communication systems, and additional infrared lights, allowing pilots to be able to make more precise calculations and have better visibility when flying at night.
