CHINHAE, Republic of Korea (Sept. 23 2022) Operations Specialist 3rd Class Stewart Sanchez-Zamora, from Lagrange, Georgia, Operations Specialist 1st Class Rasha Urtecho, from Roseburg, Oregon and Operations Specialist 3rd Class Savannah Valdez, from San Diego monitor surface contacts from the pilothouse aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) as the ship prepares to pull into Chinhae, Republic of Korea, Sept. 23. Benfold making the routine port visit as part of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5, and is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
