The 5-17 Air Cavalry Squadron conducted its first spur ride since the unit was activated in May from September 1-2, 2022. Lt. Col. Ian Benson, Commander of 5-17 Air Cavalry Squadron, conducted a professional development spur board on the top of a hill local to Camp Humphreys. Lt. Col. explained to candidates the importance and symbology of the cavalry saber.
