The 165th Airlift Wing members hosted a 9/11 Memorial 5K race on September 10, 2022 at Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia to honor those lost as we commemorate the 21st year since the September 11, 2001 attacks. The 5k race gave the military, firefighters, and local community an opportunity to demonstrate their respect and memorialize those who were lost during the attacks on September 11, 2001. Fire fighters from Garden City and Pooler used their fire trucks to hang a large American flag at the starting/finishing line of the race. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Staff Sgt. Renee Crugnale)
