A P-8A Poseidon, assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 30, flies over the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). The P-8A's primary function is anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare and will be the replacement for the P-3C Orion. The U.S. Navy is constantly deployed to preserve peace, protect commerce, and deter aggression through forward presence.
